As part of the Compensation and Pay Equity Project, Harris County Human Resources and Talent (HRT), in partnership with Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc., completed a comprehensive review of job classifications and descriptions across the County. This work established a more consistent and transparent framework for defining jobs, organizing similar work, and supporting fair and informed compensation decisions.

What is Job Standardization?

Job Standardization is the process of thoroughly reviewing and updating job descriptions to ensure they:
